You are to be congratulated on an absolutely brilliant school.I have had SO much fun working with one of my 2nd grade teachers on a project for their MindUp school. The Peaceful Schools initiative is so evident with the MindUP programme and Massage in Schools programme running. It is just one of the many unique ways that we underpin children’s development at West Rise Community Infant School. We believe this philosophy is vital to our work and is one of the golden threads of personal development and growth for children and staff at West Rise. This is underpinned and fully supported by Wellbeing First curriculum. After a Mindful moment I feel powerful, confident, calm and strong. My Amygdala was going crazy so I sat there, calmed my brain and had a little think about it. When it was dance club I was worried because I hadn’t done it before and thought I couldn’t do it. On Orange table when people were not being nice I remembered what we said and just took deep breaths and carried on with my work.
